Managing Director
Barry, Registered Nurse / Registered Paramedic, the Director of Bledisloe Medical, is our Emergency & Critical Care specialist. He brings over 30 years of skills and knowledge from his background in state-based ED, retrieval, and nursing education and leadership roles in both Qld and New Zealand.
Now with his own education and training business, Barry brings all his skills, qualifications, and experience to our expanding range of courses both locally to the Sunshine Coast and throughout Australia and the South Pacific

Paul Chant RN
Director of Training
Paul is our Resources Sector specialist and Director of Training. He brings his experience in 34 years of ED nursing and resources sectors, working and managing health clinics for companies including Oilsearch (PNG), Woodside, Rio Tinto and DOF Subsea.
In between our FIFO Medical Essentials courses Paul works with Aspen Medical and Corporate Protect Australia to provide contract nursing services to Santos, Shell and other resource companies.

Libby Bowell OAM RN
Director of Governance and Compliance
Libby Bowell OAM is a nurse of rare calibre. With 40+ years of nursing, she is a current NT RAN, ED Nurse, and has been a ED NUM and Director of Education for CRANA.
Additionally, she has worked and led over 30 international humanitarian missions with the Red Cross and is a recipient of the Florence Nightingale Medal for her work in North Africa with Ebola. She has also been awarded an Order of Australia for her services to Nursing in Australia.
Libby joins us to pass on her tremendous depth of remote area nursing experience, knowledge, and insights, to nurses looking to work in rural and remote healthcare in our upcoming FIFO Medical Essential courses.

Russell Gooch RN
Advanced Life Support Instructor
Russell performs the important role with this company of keeping our Advanced Life Support Course up to date and meeting ever developing national and international standards
Russell qualified as a Registered Nurse in Victoria in 1983 then worked in a variety of country and city hospitals throughout Victoria before relocating to Queensland in 1996
Russell has worked in Nurse Manager and Nurse Unit Manager positions and has qualifications and over 25 years experience in ICU/CCU and Emergency Nursing settings – specialising in clinical coordination, management, education and acute emergency retrieval positions.
Currently Russell holds the position of Clinical Nurse consultant withing the Public Health system in Queensland, responsible for procedure and process development and the creation and presentation of Basic and Advanced Life Support programs.

Dr Tim Jones
Doctor and Paramedic, Advanced Life Support Instructor
Tim has an exceptional array of skills, is Bledisloe Medicals main advanced Paramedic for Event Medical services
Tim has been a Paramedic since 2008, working in various state-based Ambulance Services, universities and in the resource sector.
Tim has also recently Graduated as a Medical Doctor and is currently working at Caboolture Hospital as an Intern.
His passions include aeromedical retrievals and expedition medicine.

Rebecca Fitzsimmons RN RM
Instructor
Bec is our midwifery and neonatal specialist.
She is an experienced ED nurse, midwife, university educator and flight nurse. She has worked in a variety of settings including tertiary hospitals, rural/remote communities and international humanitarian missions.
Her passion is to improve the care of women and babies especially in rural & remote settings.

Bridget Chant
Social Media Co-ordinator
As the Social Media Producer at Bledisloe Medical, Bridget wears a few hats—each one focused on bringing our FIFO medical training to life. Birdget is responsible for creating engaging content across our website, social platforms, and LinkedIn, helping to grow our brand presence and connect with healthcare professionals across Australia and a bit further too.
Beyond content, Bridget also act as a concierge during our training days—keeping the schedule on track, supporting our team and attendees. As well as keeping the day running you’ll also see her capturing the moments that matter through photography. Since joining the company, she’s played a key role in elevating our visibility and success through creative strategy and on-the-ground support. With her own background in content creation, she helps continue with growth and success.

Jane McCarthy
Admin Co-ordinator
The brains behind this operation, Jane keeps the structure and governance of the company going.
Skilled in report and submission writing / editing, secretarial and administration work.

Connor McCarthy
logistics and equipment manager
Connor keeps the storeroom and warehouse clean, tidy and organised, rotates stock and batteries etc. Has particular organisation skills in ensuring that the right training equipment is sent to a course, is safe for transport and is in packs that are intuitive to use for the Instructor.

Sophie McCarthy
Trainee
Sophie is our Workplace Trainee, currently in her second year of her Bachelor of Nursing Course, she also works as an Assistant in Nursing at the local Hospital. Her future in Healthcare and Education is very bright!
Sophie attends as many of our courses as possible, for benefit of her nursing training, and extra work in the Event Medical Space. Sophie is also looking to become a trainer for Bledisloe Medical.
