Topics covered.

Participants will learn to identify four-wheel drive specific terms, terminology, and techniques, plan for minimal environmental impact, perform pre-departure checks, use four-wheel drive mode, coordinate and recover a vehicle, and perform maintenance and minor repairs on four-wheel drive vehicles. The training ensures trainees are competent and confident in operating 4WD vehicles in field environments, using discretion and judgement in equipment selection and contingency measures.

An individual undertaking this course with Allens Training Pty Ltd will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:

  • A current driver’s licence for the relevant class of vehicle.

  • Physical capability to be able to meet the demands of the practical demonstrations for this course, such as operating a jack to support a four wheel drive on unstable ground, negotiating a range of terrain types whilst maintaining control of vehicle and carrying out stop stall key start recovery procedures (only applies to manual licencees),

  • Adequate visual acuity to accurately identify worksite risks and hazards and select routes to minimise damage to the environment as well as conduct routine pre-departure checks under the bonnet, under the body, on external and internal items and accessories according to manufacturer specifications

  • Protective footwear/safety shoes and comfortable/practical clothing must be provided by the student and worn during the practical sessions and assessment.

  • Language, literacy and numeracy requirements – students must be able to complete access and understand organisational documentation including standard operating procedures, work requests, traffic plans and daily reports, write pre-travel plans and journey management plans, access and interpret site plans, read and write reports and permits and access and interpret weather information.

  • Must be able to competently use communications systems, e.g. mobile and fixed line phone systems, 2-way radio communications systems and other similar communications systems as well as select and program navigation equipment

We appreciate your interest in our services at Bledisloe Medical Pty Ltd. To ensure transparency and compliance with Australian Consumer Laws, we have established the following cancellation and refund policy:

Cancellation Policy:

  • Clients are entitled to cancel any scheduled services associated with their relevant Services Agreement at any time.

  • To cancel any scheduled services without incurring any penalties, clients must provide a minimum of two weeks’ written notice prior to the date of any scheduled services.

Refund Eligibility:

  • Clients may be eligible for a refund if they cancel their service booking in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

  • Failure to provide the required two weeks’ written notice may result in the forfeiture of any refund entitlement.

Rescheduling Policy:

  • Clients who wish to reschedule their service booking may do so by providing a minimum of two weeks’ written notice prior to the scheduled service date.

  • Rescheduling requests made with the required notice will be accommodated without any penalties.

  • If a client reschedules their service booking, they will have the option to apply any payments made towards the rescheduled service or receive a full refund associated with the scheduled services, less any applicable surcharges.

Refund Process:

  • If a cancellation or rescheduling request is received with at least two weeks’ written notice, clients may be entitled to a full refund (less any surcharges) of any payments made for the scheduled services.

  • Refunds will be processed using the same method of payment used for the original purchase.

  • Refunds will be processed promptly, but please allow up to 7 business days for the refund to reflect in your account.

Non-Refundable Services:

  • Certain services may be deemed non-refundable, regardless of the cancellation or rescheduling notice period. These include services that have already been performed or services for which expenses have already been incurred on behalf of the client.

Non-refundable Deposits(Bookings made external to website ONLY):

  • If you are not booking through our website (e.g. via phone, email or in person) the following will apply:

    • We may require that clients pay a ten percent (10%) non-refundable deposit to secure their service booking.

    • Clients will not be entitled to any refund of the deposit if they change their mind or for any other reason.

    • The balance of the service fees will be payable within four (4) weeks prior to the scheduled service date.

    • Our cancellation and refund policy applies to the service fee only and does not apply to the non-refundable deposit.
